1 · Duty
The use sets the contact time basis, the minimum bed depth and the recommended media grade.
Free chlorine removal is a fast surface reaction, so contact time is set by the duty rather than by the chlorine level. Chlorine concentration sets the load consuming the bed; pH sets how much carbon the duty needs, because hypochlorite ion reacts more slowly than hypochlorous acid.
Leave blank to use the calculated / default contact time for the duty.
Sets bed expansion and pressure drop from the media datasheets. Colder water expands the bed more at the same rate.

3 · Vessel Arrangement
Series stages split the bed depth without increasing diameter or backwash flow. Required for dialysis duty.
FRP vessels rated 6 bar max operating pressure.
Valve selected on flow and thread size, not tank size. The valve must pass both the service flow and the backwash flow.
